Manufactured by Atlas Furniture Company, this blue beauty gave us a run for our money. The top was completely veneered oak, which was a surprise to us! We removed the veneer to find beautiful, solid oak underneath. Filled with wormholes and knots, we wanted to preserve it in its original tone and glory. Each drawer needed to be repaired, and some drawers even needed multiple repairs. Once repairs were complete, we decided on paint. Sapphire is a rich, cobalt blue by Wise Owl Paint. To complement the electric blue shade, we added gold accents to the keyholes and locks, as well as new, two-toned geometric stone knobs. The drawers have been revived with an unscented furniture tonic. All drawers are dovetailed and glide well. The bureau measures 39.25" wide, 20.5" deep, and 35" high and has been sealed with polyurethane. This truly is a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture. Available for pick up in Falmouth.
