🤎 These oversized vintage wood and formica tables had seen better days when they arrived at Pumpkin Seed Designs. The goal for these pieces was to modernize them in a very neutral design. This process began with the outdated style on the doors. The paneling was removed from the inside of each door and was replaced with a flat piece of wood. The doors also needed some additional repairs in order to function properly before achieving an updated look.
🤎 Next, the bottom and bases of each table were removed. New wood bottoms were cut and attached to prepare for new legs. Each table and door was painted in Wise Owl Paint's Safari Jacket, a tan khaki with subtle green undertones. This warm, neutral color created the perfect foundation for the remaining accents.
🤎 Sleek, 6" metal legs add a modern look to this pair, complementing the champagne bronze knobs on the doors. Inside the cabinet space, magnetic enclosures secure the doors with ease. The tables have been sealed in a water-based satin polyurethane for extra protection and sheen. Four collapsible fabric cubes come with this set for added storage and organization.
🤎 This beautiful pair would be great as oversized bedside tables or nightstands, end tables on either side of a couch, or even as additional storage in your home. The width and depth of the tops allow plenty of space to display lamps, photos, or other items while hiding away whatever you'd like underneath.
