This gorgeous, solid wood dresser has a beautiful, light wood look! Based on the National Furniture Co. stamp on the backside of the dresser, this piece is likely a borderline antique with origins in Washington, DC.
The veneer has been removed from the top to reveal a combination of oak and walnut wood grain filled with charm. The body and drawers of the dresser have been sanded completely raw, and the entire dresser has been given a custom paint wash that allows the wood grain to shine through.
The drawers have been repaired and glide with ease. The insides of the drawers have been revived with an unscented furniture tonic and lined with a lovely deep blue and gold pattern that resembles the stars at night. Champagne bronze knobs pull the look together. The dresser sits on original caster wheels that have also been refreshed with furniture tonic. The wheels can be removed if desired. The dresser has been sealed with a satin polyurethane for extra durability and a light sheen. The size of this piece and neutral tones make it compatible with any space and decor style.
