🖤 This beautiful Queen Anne style china cabinet was manufactured by Monarch Furniture Co. of Jamestown, NY, and sold by Drake & Hersey Co. of Boston, Massachusetts. Though there is little information on either company, Drake & Hersey was in business as early as 1923, indicating that the china cabinet is likely an antique.
🖤 It is made of solid wood (primarily oak and mahogany) and features original wavy glass windows with a wavy glass door. The cabinet was fully disassembled in order to refinish it, and as a result, it can now be transported in two pieces. 
🖤 It has been painted in Wise Owl Paint's Black, a true black with very little undertones. Inside, there is a beautiful black and white ginkgo print lining the bottom and two shelves to display whatever you wish. The shelves are stationary, original to the piece, and have routed edges toward the back for easy dish display. 
🖤 The fretwork inside the front glass panels has been removed due to damage. This update also provides a more modern look. The door has a new ceramic teardrop pull and closes with a magnet. The veneer has been removed from the drawer, sanded smooth, and given a paint wash in the color Driftwood (Country Chic Paint) which resulted in a gorgeous natural wood tone that pops against the black paint. The drawer opens and closes smoothly and has the same matching print as the inside of the china cabinet. The drawer features two new knobs that have been customized in color to match the tone of the drop pull. The entire piece has been sealed in a satin polyurethane.
🖤 This cabinet is absolutely a statement piece, but the neutral color allows it to integrate easily with many types of decor and styles of homes.
